Aromatic Note: A top note with a strong aroma, Eucalyptus Globulus has an herbaceous scent with soft, woody undertones. It definitely has a fresh, distinctive, and somewhat medicinal aroma!

Blends Well With: Basil, Cajeput, Cedarwood, Citronella, Helichrysum, Ginger, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Myrtle, Frankincense, Spearmint, Thyme and Tea Tree.

Historical Uses: Eucalyptus essential oil is probably best known for its many benefits for respiratory concerns like easing congestion, sinus pressure, colds, flu and bronchitis. It is the staple of spas and steam inhalation rooms worldwide. It is also an amazing oil to include in topical massage oils for relieving pain, arthritis and fungus.

How to Use: Add 3-6 drops in a diffuser, a couple of drops to your diffuser blend, or a drop or two with a carrier oil in the bath or a massage blend. Always dilute with a carrier oil prior to using on the skin. If pregnant, lactating or taking medication consult a physician prior to use. Avoid eyes, mucus membranes and sensitive skin.

Around the House: As a disinfecting air spray, Eucalyptus essential oil acts as a natural anti-microbial, non-toxic air freshener that removes bacteria, viruses and mold from the environment. Diluted with water, this spray can freshen the room and eliminate the body odors trapped in shoes and sports gear. A surface cleaning agent can be made by combining Eucalyptus essential oil with Lemon and Peppermint essential oils, and then diluting the blend with water before using it on kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
