Aromatic Note: A middle note with a strong aroma, this Geranium has a scent that is both sweet and herbaceous, carrying some subtle notes similar to Rose.

Blends Well With: Basil, Bergamot, Citronella, Clary Sage, Fennel, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Marjoram and Neroli.

Historical Uses: Used in aromatherapy applications, Geranium essential oil reduces feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, fatigue, and tension, enhances concentration, improves cognitive function, and balances the emotions as well as the hormones. Geranium oil has antioxidant, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that can naturally support the prevention of viral infections, facilitate the body's elimination of toxins and enhance digestion.

Used cosmetically or topically in general, Geranium essential oil is reputed to effectively eliminate dead cells, tighten the skin, promote the regeneration of new skin and diminish signs of aging.

Used medicinally, Geranium essential oil works as an anti-inflammatory and anti-septic agent. It is reputed to enhance circulation, soothe symptoms of menstruation and menopause, reduce blood pressure and pain, and boost immunity.

How to Use: Add 3-6 drops in a diffuser, a couple of drops to your diffuser blend, or a drop or two with a carrier oil in the bath or a massage blend. Always dilute with a carrier oil prior to using on the skin. If pregnant, lactating or taking medication consult a physician prior to use. Avoid eyes, mucus membranes and sensitive skin.
